Golf Mk4 Radiator

Recommended Posts

M@tt

The missus Golf (1.6 non aircon) radiator is fooked (had to be towed home for the 2nd time in 2 days!)

I've just ordered a replacement with the intention of replacing it when i get home from work this evening but i've not seen how bad a job it is to. Is it a complete bumper & front of the car off job or nice and easy? (crosses fingers its the latter)

Cheers

My mate 'Pronta' on here is a VW/VAG expert and mod on PVW Forum. If you PM him he'll help out.

I'll let him know you may get in touch.

what a f***ing bag of wank VW's are!!!!

Who the hell though it would be a good idea to use RIBE socket bits for the Headbolts!!! Just my luck i spent most of the evening stripping the peripherals off the head to finally get the cam cover off to find that it had a stupid style headbolt which obvioulsy i don't have the socket for that meant i couldn't get the head off, which meant i couldn't take the head to get skimmed today which meant i couldn't get the head back on it tonight, which means i'll be spending my xmas eve in next doors garage trying to put the bag of s*ite back together again!!!

and my family is all arriving today for xmas so we were supposed to be spendign time together etc but that's now gone out the window as well

ho ho f***ing ho!!!

GSF sell that socket, as do Draper stockists (GSF sell the draper one) The only reason I have one is that I did a headgasket on my sisters Diesel Ibiza a few years ago, only been used once!

a lot of japcrap use RIBE btw, they tend not to snap like T55 bits
