205 Gti Power Steering....

I bought a 205 steering was miles out, had new wheels and tyres fitted, and steering tracked, i've got power steering, but something doesnt feel right, its very sensitive, is there any way i can tel if i have quick rack on it, also the steering is bloody light, unlike the other 2 gtis i had that had power steering, but that was a good few years back,

Steering light all the time or only when moving?

 

Sounds like you might have tracking set differently or different tyre pressures than before.

It is a bit heavier than it was, but its still light all the time, i'll check the tyre pressure tonight, and make sure there the same

Turns out it was screwed ball joints, when traking was done the car was on plates, had the wheels of the ground and found the problem, new wish bones being fitted now, find out tonigh when i pick it up how much of a differencr it was,
