Setting Megasquirt Up

right ive recently been setting up my megasquirt1 v3 on a mi16 with gsxr bodies .ive done searches but cant seem to find anything on igntion settings for the mi engine .ive got it running but cant seem to get it to stop knocking as in shaking the car .ive tried retarding the igntion but it just seems to cut out .so does anyone have any settings i can look at just to get some basic settings .for example mine is now running 6 degrees btdc at 500rpm with no throttle

 

or maybe some pointers of what it should be running thanks again for all the help

its a bit of a grey area on here mate.

 

i've been after info for this for some time, and although some know their way around the ms most have done this off their own backs.

 

my plan is to get it half running and get an mot then get it rr and mapped by someone who knows what they are doing.

 

i've sent my msq to you anyway hope this helps.

 

if its any consolation mine is very juddery until it warms up? i just though it was the norm?
