Trying not be a grouch here but you can't post in wanted until you have 30 posts.

Sure you want to sell a car and end up with someone elses problems, which will become aparent and probably cost more money to fix than to do the conversion on your car.

Why ditch the Silver 1.9? Beautiful colour.

I'll have the tailgate, rear bumper and drivers door if you break it :)

Aaaah that will be why, thanks for the info!

If im honest i would love to throw webers on mine, but then it would probably mean a rebuild for safe measures! Although if i can pick up a second hand weber kit then would prob go for it!

I agree Silver does look great especially after a respray!!!! :)

Changing a whole car you know and love for another of unknown shape just because it has carbs is madness.

Dude WTF? just bang the carbs on your car :) If its fitting and setting up thats worrying you, the kind and knoledgeable people on this forum will walk you through it. Not to mention the welth of knoledge already on here on the subject.

I know what your saying and your probably right! My engine has had a full rebuild but that was around 70,000 miles ago!!

Ok so if im going to buy new then where is best to get them from? I cant seem to find them in kits, and if i cant then obviously il need 2 x twin 45's, manifold, regulators?? etc etc!! HELP lol!

If it's had a rebuild 70,000 miles ago there's a chance that it'll still be in good nick if looked after well.

You could always drop the sump and check the condition of the main/big end bearings, not hard to do but make sure everything is torqued up afterwards!

The bores should still be in good condition if they were honed before in the rebuild and again the engine maintained throughly.

I know you probably want the answers upright, but do a search or have a gander through some of the build threads and you will find your answers.

People get anoyed on here covering the same subject a million times, not having a go BTW!

Not that I would recommend them, but you can buy carbs, manifolds and all the gubbins from Demon Tweeks for one.

Also try Northampton Motorsport or even Skip Brown who isn't to far from you.

I'm sure a Google search would have brought up plenty of results for what you are after.

Is that £1500 including the throttle bodies themselves, installation and setup?
