Removing Central Locking?

Is there an easy was of removing central locking? Mine's never worked properly, and I'd rather take it out... I've taken out the motors, but how can I remove the connecting rods in the doors?

They should simply unhook from the lock mechanism inside the doors.

If you find it really difficult you can pop the lock barrel out, fairly simple.
