Electrics Going Mental!

Recommended Posts

Starting now to get problems with my electrics.

At first the light on the dash showing that the side lights and main lights stopped working.

Then the reverse light stopped working.

Now the battery light is on when idle then when revving seems to go off.

Car didn't start one day, replaced battery and started fine.

Straight away got the multimeter out and checked the output of the alternator which was fine and then the input of the battery which was also fine even when the engine has been revved and lights blower etc all on.

Is this just a case of checking all the earths due to a dogey connection??

Also one fog light out to

Really appreciate any help, thanks

On all my 205s I've had in the past that have had strange faults with the front lights and dash Warning lights I've changed the two earths points under the headlights to ring terminals and bolted them to the body, cured all sorts of faults. Even if it doesn't sort it at least you can elliminate them and you know they are a good connection.
