Xu10 Turbo Problem

car was squealing which i thought was fan belt issue so bought a new fanbelt and it didnt fix it, found out it was the crank pulley rubber bit in the middle of the pulley was dead and the top part was spinning freely on its own so bought a new crank pulley and fitted and it stopped the squealing but it rained the next day and started squeeling again so really confused now what it could be :S anyone with an idea let me know please .

 

2nd problem is past few days when i have been putting my foot down slightly its been missing and then drives fine where am i best of starting to look for the problem? plugs and leads?

mine was squealing like a pig mate was the alt belt. take it off and see does it still sqeual. will run fine for a while on the battery.

 

as for the hesitation a set of plugs is cheap enough.

took belt off before and yes it stops but iv tried 2 new fan belts now and both the same

bearing in the alternator?

bought a new alternator just not fitted it yet but yes could very well be and i will let you know once iv fitted it

Grate some french chalk onto the belt when fitting the new alternator

yep just like i gambled on my turbo not being a smokey one and failed on that too
