Gti Carpet Into Cti

as title i was recently given a late GTI carpet an i wanna replace my early phase 1 CTI carpet i'm guessing there slightly different anyone done the conversion is it possible? If so any tips etc?

Different shapes as cti sills are wider.

Search for member "smokey" and have a look through his threads as he's done this - maybe even drop him a PM. I may also need to do this but takes me forever to get around to it. I know it involves copious and careful use of a heat gun and re-shaping the front wheel well trims of a saloon, as the CTi is carpeted right up to the bottom of the dash and the GTi carpet is a foot short, being cut straight across from the front of the door step.

It sort of fit's but looks horrid, Shape is vasty different on the Sills and behind the front seats
