Its only locking and unlocking sometimes with the remote and you have to get right up close and point it right at the sensor.

I have also used the other remote as well that hasn't been used very much and its the same problem.

So im thinking it wont be down to the remotes ( as one has had very little use )

anyone else had experience with this happening?

Even though the other remote hasn't been used very much the battery could still have depleted. Try a new battery in one and see how it goes.

Failing that a wee phonecall to a dealer near you to see if it's a common problem or something cheap to fix before you go spending money on it.

did the trick i walked about 10 m away and pressed the button yay! not usual for the 205 problems to be fixed so easily....... wonder what she'll turn up for me next month to fix

That comment just about sums up owning and running a 205 in my view!! well said, not putting the cars down in anyway tho love the things just so happens that mine loves spending my money
