Cylinder Liner O Ring

Hi all, does anyone know the spec for the o-ring seal for the liners, or are they a basic o-ring? i lost one mid build and need another quick.

Not sure on the spec of them but they come in a pack of 4 from pug. Maybe best getting a pack rather than using something else because you would want the engine to fail because of a simple o-ring. You can also get them in the gasket kit from payen iirc but prob cheaper just buying the pack from pug.

I have extra ones of these in my garage, from when I did my rebuild, if you want me have a look for them and I'll put some in the post for few beer tokens mate?

I wiped a bit of instant gasket around the liner before I set the rings to stop the old mayo problem. The seals really arent that reliable alone IMO. Havent had a problem as of yet. You should be able to get the rings from GSF.

I just used some grease!

 

got my liner seals from a local engine machinists for pennies, they are a common size apparently
