Fast Indicator, No Its Not A Blown Bulb!

Recommended Posts

allye

Last week my nearside indicator started going twice the usual speed, now i know this is usually a bulb gone as I had this on the off side a while ago. Only the rear works at twice the usual speed so the the front and side repeater are not working, the front bulb is fine and working havn't checked the side repeater bulb though as it was dark!

So what could it be? A relay, a dodgy connection, bad earth?

Thanks a lot, Ali

(also how do you get the side repeater to part company with the wing?)

I vote for a dodgy connection, or a bad earth :)

to get the side repeater out you need to turn it 45 degrees then pull it out of the hole, can;t remember which way though, don't force it!

The front and side repeater are on the same circuit, so if one's a bit iffy, the other will be too. Clean up all the connections, including the main one where the circuit joins the loom.

Side repeater you turn anticlock, but they can be stubborn.

had this on my xs last week, as Baz said clean all the connections back to shiny metal, I just used a bit of wet and dry sand paper. :)

Where is the connection that joins to the loom? I will give all the connections a good clean tomorrow.

Thanks for all the quick replys, I don't want plod pulling me for it, I had to just not indicate the other day as one was behind me.
