Gti Wiper Stalk On A Rallye?

On my Rallye any other base models the wiper stalk setting come with constantly on and really fast constantly on, no intermittent setting.

 

So my question is would it be as simple as changing to a GTI wiper stalk then I would get the intermittent setting?

 

Its bloody anoying in a light rain to keep having to manually turn the wipers on!

You need the wiper stalk and the relay, but otherwise it's a straight swap AFAIK

It is easy. The switch just fits in and the relay just plugs into the fuse box IIRC. To get a relay, you just need to acquire one from a scrappers or someone on here may have one for pennies.

 

You will also get a rear wiper switch free of charge too which is quite a handy addition on a 205 come winter time (if you have the rear wiper motor!)

I have a rear wiper, so does that mean I will get an intermittant rear wiper as well!?

No, you won't get an intermittent rear wiper, just on or off.

 

I've got a relay here spare if you want one, iirc there will be a black plastic cover & a small metal tab in the fusebox you'll need to remove so you can fit the relay.
