Central Locking

Hi guys, First post on here. Iv solved all my other problems with the search button but need further assistance on this one.

 

My central locking doesnt work on my 1.9 GTi. Iv done all the usual checks withe the controler in the driver door and fuses etc.. but no joy. The car did have an alarm at some point but its been taken out. I think whoever took it out has chopped the central locking wire when removing it. Problem I have is I cant trace the wire. The wires in the door are all intact so any idea where the wires run from the door??

What age is your 205?

Have you tried following the wiring from the door?

Its a 1.9 1989 on a G plate. I followed the wires from the door through under the dash then lose them. I was puzzling if any one knew where the most obvious place would be for there to be a brake in the wire as a result of removing the alarm.
