93k Motronic 1.9 Running Rough Over 2.5k Revs

Recommended Posts

Hi wonder of anyone has had this issue.

My poorly 1.9 runs fine upto 2.5K and then after that overfuels and backfires.

If the breather hoses are blocked off it will run fine at all revs but will not start.

I'm baffled, and so are my garage - any ideas please?

Its had every electrical part replaced and 2nd hand ECU and AFM but still not running?

(that's 93K not 39K, sorry!)

Thanks

No it wasn't touched - it just started backfiring and stalling in June.

My garage have had it for 6 month and have tested all sorts and replaced all eletrical items and replaced wires in the loom too that looked damaged.

Still no luck.

Have you tried another SAD (supplementary air device)? If it runs ok with this disconnected (i.e. breathers blocked) then could be your problem. I've got a couple of spares if you need one to try?
