Recommended Posts

jdb1964

My local parts man at the dealer just quoted me £44 + VAT for the dizzy cap & rotor arm for my Bosch dizzy

Its a bit steep 'n'est pas ?'

apparently not kept in the UK and has to be sent over from the other side of the channel

what experience have you had with this sort of thing ?

tried that at Chester Car Parts and they had only Intermotor parts and the wrong ones at that when I looked on Saturday so if you can get them from somwhere to fit one you have ' in stock ' that would be great !

thanks for replies guys

Andy have you a suitable Bosch dizzy 'in stock' ?

If so should just be a new cap & rotor arm

Bosch numbers on it are

C 043 D 019

0237 009 066

He suggested Robert's in Wxhm as they're a Bosch dealer but turn sout they sold their stock to ECP in wxhm 12m ago so rang ECP who don't list the Bosch dizzy parts and the guy said some parts are only made for the car manufacturer and not available to the public via ECP / GSF etc but have to go via peugeot in this case ...

By the way there is one on eBay at moment for sale by 'pug306turbodiesel' for a BIN price of £20 as confirmed by his reply to my Q just in case you haven't got a suitable one...

we can go from there re coil,amp,fly-wire etc etc if it doesn't stop it occasionally and randomly hiccuping !

How much did you want for a dizzy ?

If you get a chance see my edited post re ? unavailability of motor factor parts - who is telling the truth - it gets a bit much sometimes f8ckin h$ll its only a cap & rotor arm not moon dust.

which motor factors would you try for one ?

Will stick with plugs as are for now as were only fitted in October when I.LLoyd did the MOT/service for it in Denbigh.

I think your parts guy looked up the decullier dizzy prices by accident.

Look for your closest motaquip dealer (PSA groups own aftermarket spares), I bought a dizzy cap & rotor arm from mine for a friend recently for under £15.

If you know anyone with a Halfords Trade Card, then 1.9 GTi dizzy caps and arms are (or certainly were) silly cheap
