What Are These?

I have found some connectors and a cylindrical unit under the bonnet of my XS, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they are for?

This was from behind the NS Headlamp.

God knows what this is, when I purchased the car, it was hanging against the rad.

This one comes out from near the flywheel case on the engine side, again, this just hangs there and does nothing.

first pic = front driving light connecting plug

second pic = iirc, something to do with cooling fan (i could be wrong on this)

third pic = the wire is usually up over the dizzy and is only a diagnosic plug

photo 1 - not sure!

photo 2 - cooling fan resistor, the little bracket should be rivetted near the top of your radiator, you'll see the hole where the old rivet was, just rivet it back on.

photo 3 - diagnostics plug I think, should be clipped in up beside your ignition coil, you'll probably never use this though.

EDIT -> sorted! jord beat me

Could be either the cooling fan resistor or the headlight dim / dip resistor. B)

No, it's definitely the fan resistor, controls fast/slow speeds on fan. It's probably detached as replacement radiators (like mine!) don't have a clip rivetted on for this. Helpful. I've managed to slip mine under one of the radiator retaining springs...you need to be careful where it goes as it can get extremely hot, hot enough to melt plastic, damage hoses etc.

They only people that could use it were peugeot and they don't even use it any more!
