Lower Strut Brace

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Does anyone run a lower strut brace? AND is it any good?

Will I be able to feel any difference using it?

Need to have or nice to have on a track 205?

Cheers

They run at the same height as the wishbones but stick froward a bit. There is some difference but a decent driver would be able to do without one. A thicker ARB would be a better option - 309 one is 21mm iirc

Got one on ours and I can feel the difference especially the steering. No issue with clearance but ours is only lowered 25mm. Was a ballache to fit with the Mi16 lump and the sump plug and oil temp sender had to swap places.

So.....was it worth all the work ?

^^ I'd say so, I was prepared to be disappointed, but ended up being pleasantly suprised by the end result. The steering seems more precise, and the turn in seems sharper. As for the ballache to fit, I have this second hand as my mate fitted it on his ramp after the MOT test, cos I did'nt think it would fit, but with a bit ingenuity (ie swapping the sump plug and oiltemp sender) it was made to fit.
