Gti6 Oil Pressure Adapter

Recommended Posts

Gman

Hi everyone,

I've just removed the oil pressure sendor from the 8v lump, but when fitting it to the gti6 adapter it looks like it should screw in more than it does?

I have only hand tightened the 8v sendor in the picture, but can't imagine it will go in much further than it does. Is this OK?

Cheers

Graham

I have to say, this works as seen on pic.

I bought a same on E-bay.

The senders thread on the adapter is 1/8" NPT not M10X1

The pressure switch's thread is ok but short. Just use plumbers tape(teflon) to seal it.

If You brave enough, just tighten the sender, or use an aftermarket sender, or use an 1/8" NPT srew plug, and drill a new 9mm hole and cut an M10X1 to it.

Be careful, first screw in the adapter to see, where the new thread and sender will fit.

I missed this step, had to do some tricks to get space for the sender, because the adapter's thread length is cutted to be the 1/8" NPT hole facing up.
