Bosch Dizzy O Ring Size ?

Recommended Posts

shed_racing

Evening all - got the dreaded oil-down-the-back-of-the-block syndrome (evident last week and the week before when under there looking at diveshafts) and whilst I've got a main stealer rocker gasket all sexy in it's official bag with logos an' everyfin' ready to go on, I've just been out and had a quick shufti and I think it may be the dizzy O ring.

I'm kinda hoping that I can get away with not having to go through the hassle of dealing with the blunt and rude imbeciles at the local dealer in order to get a replacement tomorrow morning so did a search and couldn't find the details in an existing thread;

Does anyone know the diameter of the o-ring needed, please ? I'd be really grateful . . . :(

Oh, it's a Bosch dizzy in an '89 1.6 ;)

Here's to yet another Saturday getting covered in oil and skinning knuckles, "Project" being rather an understatement at present ;)

Thanks.

(I've also taken note of the various threads that suggest checking the breather pipes aren't split, too - once I've persuaded the various hydrocarbons to finally leave the OUTSIDE of the engine, I'll be checking them, too - cheers )

no idea of the size sorry, but you can just buy them from Peugeot for not too large a sum.

Thank you guys. New rocker cover gasket on ( I have to admit to being tempted to dust it over with a colour whilst it was off, but managed to resist . . :lol: ) and see if that cures it.

If not, then dizzy o ring it is.

Thanks again.
