Because his team mate over took him round sharp corners and could have ruined it for the whole team, jealous me thinks. Lewis sure showed him how it should have been done, good on ya Lewis. It seems there is friction between Button and Lewis and not the other way round.

Vettel did the same sort of thing but hit Webber and made Webber came 3rd instead of 1st earlier on in the race.

My opinion would be that they make an awsome dream team. But that's if you asked me a month ago.

Now I'm not to sure about things, I got a feeling that jensons being pampered a little. Hamiltons an inteligent lad, I'm sure he will not let the team orders get the better of him.

I think a lot of people are underestimating Button based purely on his last half season this year.

After winning so many races and having such a massive lead, the pressure on him was to finish and score points, he didnt need to win any more races.

Once a drivers head gets into that state, they tend to change their driving style and priorities, and that is exactly what Button did. Lets ensure I finish, safe tactics, no risks let the people chasing me take all the risks while I nurse my car around and just score solid points.

I think you will see a different Button again in the new season. I think Hamilton is hungrier in general, and a better driver, but don't discount Button, a man who got the job done after a long period of just being a number.

Let's be safe !? Did you not see vetel and webbers incident ? The same could of happend to the mclaren team! Then none of them would of won the race !

I find Hamilton to be a whiney little b*tch. As soon as something's wrong it's always "the team f***ed up" Admittedly you're going to react different when the adrenalin is pumping but I've never really liked him.

I don't like Alonso either but that's a different story

Well if you know anything about these F1 cars you would know how easily these things spin out with a little nudge, even at low speeds. Especaily now today where there are no driver aids like the used to be.

I also disagree with hamilton being a whingy bitch as someone stated, he didn't say anything negative after the race in turkey yestaerday, he never does come to think about it. Always sais positve things and always praises the teams effort. Good sportsman.

I don't think he whines but he does complain, fair play to him though he knows what he wants and if the team make a bad call he's not afraid to say.

Theres been a few times this year but for example when they pitted twice and ferrari didn't he said it was a terrible idea.

Positive criticism is for the greater good all round, no one person/sportsman is going to be perfect and Lewis imo has more about him than most F1 drivers. He still has a good chance on winning this year as much as Webber and Button together.

I think Buttons goatee look has rubbed off onto Lewis now.

I do thanks, they were not doing 180 odd when they touched wheels where they? It was obv that hammy did'nt like the fact that jenson kept with him and even made a pass on him and did you not hear him whining on the radio in Melborne

But that call WAS awful, I would have been livid! (then I would have remembered I was banging that Pussycat doll and calmed right down)

And everyone knows there's a dirty and clean line on a racetrack, Hamilton was just telling it like it is. You don't expect a particularly good start on that side of the grid.

I think Button is a load more moany, he's always banging on about lack of balance or lack of traction. He did put a great move on Schuey though.

Weren't they meant to be saving fuel though? There is debate as to whether the McLaren drivers got told the same message from the team manager.

In the 3rd section of the track leading to the overtake, Button made 1.1secs on Hamilton. That sounds like Hamilton backing off rather than Button catching up.

Maybe its all a marketing plan to get the race more exciting, Ham slow down, Butt speed up and over take.

Hamilton said he was not sure how much he should be backing off and slowed too much allowing button to have a go at him. Personally I think its good for both of them. Both seem relatively happy with the car and are similar pace. This helps all parties.

Well you also know that a little clip and a little spin at little speeds could of have been a big mistake!

I do also agree with batfink though, keeps them on there toes :D

I race with Justin (Kyepan) who has far more seat time in karting than I do. He is probably 0.5sec faster a lap minimum than me. I consider it my goal to make that gap as small as possible. It motivates me to analyse every part of the track and my driving techniques and work to better myself. You know you are on an even platform so the only difference is you. Its a great motivator if you are competitive though it does mean you push to the limits a lot!

I think it's a brilliant partnership, and Lewis is just the thing Jenson needs not to get comfortable and keep pushing himself. The race in Turkey was a brilliant example of how underrated Jenson is as a driver, and a lot of people slate him because they forget these moments where he shows he can hassle the best of them.

It's such a shame about Vettel and Webber though, I'd have loved to see the scrap develop between them and the McLarens near the end of the race!

what a truely great race! the first 4 cars only a few seconds appart for much of the race, now that's entertainment! it reminded me of moto gp!!

anyway, i dont think the hamilton / button combination is a bad thing, and it's great watching them battle for no1 place in the team! i do think hamilton is the faster driver over 1 lap, but button has a better race brain, and can out think a lot of drivers. Button and Ross Brawn made the ultimate tactical combination, and they won the championship!

i cant stand martin whitmarsh though, i guess someone had to fill ron denis's place in the team as the chief knob head!

During the Vettel Webber incident, Vettel's dash display began to flash angrily as he pirouetted off the track, some enhancement of the message it displayed is very telling.
