Where To Get Headset From?

Recommended Posts

gav_mi16

After some recent bad experience with parts from various motor factors, like handbrake cables that don't fit, clutch cables that snap, exhausts that blow out (literally) at the mid box and leak badly at the main top flange weld, and headgaskets that don't have a continuous seal for the water, where would be a good place to buy a headset from? I need all the gaskets for the head plus bolts and cambelt. Hiflowheads seems good value, or should i go to Peugeot?

I have often turned to Peugeot after some shokingly bad parts, but at the moment i just don't have the budget.

It's for a std '91 205 1.6GTi

I get my gasket sets from the place that does my engine machine work. They normally supply Payen gasket sets, these are good quality. Most machine shops source their parts from FPS, and should be able to get you a Payen set.

alright pal. first time i've ever seen one of your posts

anyway, have you tried C.M.A in deeside? i usually take cranks or heads for rework, and i've had the odd gasket set from them, and never had any probs
