Joining Bike Carbs To The Manifold

Recommended Posts

swordfish210

Hi, i need some hose to join my carbs to the manifold but i'm reluctant to use Samco hose again because when i took the carbs apart the hose was all perished and i'm concerned that a lot of it would have ended up in my engine. You can get fuel resistant Samco hose but it's on a 4 week order period and would be circa £50 for the amount i need, £50 more than i actually have.

Do any of you know where i can get some decent thickness hose that is fairly fuel resistant, something like 3ply. Thanks. Mark

I'd investigate how much the joiners are from who ever fitted the carbs to a bike... e.g. Suzuki/Yamaha/Honda etc etc - if they will fit your manifold that is.

Nah i allready tried that route. The standard manfold is an odd shape, a bit squared off and the standard joiners are hard rubber so there was no way of remoulding them. I did think about taking them out in the lathe a bit with a boring tool but it would have taken the wall thickness down too far and they would have just split.
