Bogging Down When Raining

Recommended Posts

I.ve just recently noticed when it's chucking it down, that although my car drives as it should normally, whenever i booted it it was just like somebody turned my engine off! Nothing happened! Could it be that my open cone air filter is getting too wet behind the headlamp? It only does it in heavy rain, it's fine when it's just drizzling and when dry. anybody else had this problem?

I had something similar and that turned out to be the airflow meter black cap was not sealed down properly, and therefore only in bad conditions would it leak and fault.

Just check its properly stuck down and sealed all the way around.

You got a bonnet vent or something? Sounds like the HT leads could be damp and arcing?
