Compbrake Rod Ends

Recommended Posts

EricYellow

Has anybody used the Compbrake rod ends/bumpsteer kit to compensate for bumpsteer when the car is lowered ?

I've been looking at it, but in the pictures it looks like the bolts they use aren't tapered while the original rod ends are.

Do they expect me to drill a straight hole so a normal bolt can be used ?

Any advise (+pics if possible) is welcome.

I use there track rod ends yes you need to modify the hubs slightly. New bolts etc come with the rose joint ends they. Never had a problem with mine yet and been fitted for a while on every track day.

At an educated guess you just have to drill the tapered hole thorough which the track rod end pin would normally go, so it is no longer tapered and a normal bolt will go in there.

Yes mate spot on simple enough just means you can't go back to STD rod ends without changin the hubs.

You fitted the rod above (as original rod end) or below the hub ?
