Hi Guys,

I´m thinking of changing my mi 1,9 head with a 2.0 mi head.

Will this work? will there be any advantages or disadvantages? and will it be a straight fit?

Thanks.

they are effectively the same head but with several small differences, so rather pointless in changing them unless you have come across a very valuable modified one.

it'll fit straight on, but the exhaust manifold has a different stud pattern (10 studs instead of 9)

use 1.9 cams and thermostat housing and cam cover I believe, Miles knows more about this :)

Will take the housing from the 1.9 head and switch it over to the 2.0 head. Noticed the stud difference.

It is an all standard 2.0 head nothing special about it but the 1.9 head is looking rather used. Don´t think it will seal unless I get it skimmed.

Looks like that there is a slight differenci in chamber shape?

Skim the 1.9 head will save aload of trouble

Differance's are

Themostat housing

Vacume Pump take off

Oil drain (In side)

Lack of water pump spacer

Inlet Dowl's

86 and not 83 chamber size
