Ht Leads / Ignition Harness

Recommended Posts

i have a 1.9 mi16 from a BX, however i need new HT's, i have tried various searches on here but nothing relevant seems to be coming up. the stealership wants £100+ for a set and GSF want £41 (£36 with discount) which i still think is overly expensive, is there anywhere else that i can these or use another type of HT from another car or somthing?

Regards

Tim

c'mon i cant belive that all the other pug owners out there aren't as tight fisted as me and pay £40 for a set of leads when halfords do them for all other cars at £20ish. are there ANY other makes or models that fit?

that's not bad for decent leads, I think the 8 valvers are about £20-25 and are far more common, not as if you have to replace them every year.

Mi16 consumables are pricey compared to a lot of other engines, particularly the 205 GTI 8v. Have you seen the prices of distributor caps and rotor arms?

still get discount at GSF if you're a member of a club, or shop there often enough to get trade off them if they like you enough

I got a set of XL leads from my local motor factor for £20. They're s*ite though and have caused a missfire so will be gettin replaced with either Pug leads or some Motorquip leads.

And yes I was shocked when I saw the price of dizzy cap and rotor arm!

gsf give me a 10% discount as im in there a fair bit getting stuff. i managed to get some from halfords in the end after speaking to someone who wasnt a halfwit. £30 on the trade card, look pretty decent. will plug them in later and see how they go
