Please help my sanity. on the bottom of the standard throttle body there are 3 conections the two larger ones are for coolant but the third smaller copper/brass coloured one is open now this is surely not right but i cant remember taking a pipe off or seeing where one might go. i have temp blanked it off for now as it is an open conection. im asking this i removed the head last week and just put it back together tonight is it for the vac advance for the dizzy but im sure that is conected. thanks in advance.

Thanks ill put my good eyes on in the morning and double check was a rush job to put back together runs fine (when warm of course. If ive left it disconected then that will probably mean my dizzys reached the end of the road as it runs just as well as it did before Cheers for the help

This is really very common on 205's, the diaphram in the advance can splits meaning no vac advance takes place.

I actually have a vac can I bought for my own car not long ago that is now for sale if you are interested.

Hope Im not thread highjacking. I was just wondering where the other two main pipes go off the throttle body. If any one has got a picture or diagram of theirs that would be great!

Yes, they're just for water heating the throttle body.

I've run my car without these connected though for a good few years now without any issues. The UK climate isn't severe enough (yet) to need them imo.

Graham.
