Can anyone point me towards fresh new bumpers.....don't care what colour as long as it fits my STDT. GSF used to sell them last time I looked and now they are not in stock ;)

Not looking forward to paying 60ish each from the pug stealership.

Oh...and a reverse lens as well if you'd please

Just checked with pug stealership....140 odd for a front bumper!!!!!! any one out there that can help?

Pretty sure you can get them from Neatautos, Autofive also but they will be expensive. A wanted post always helps.....

Was taking my bumpers off on Wednesday to apply the plasticare (supper product), front came off fine but the rear wouldn't for toffee! The side bolts are all rusty due to them being in the line of spray of the rear wheels. one snapped and the other came lose but the flate side dug into my bumper, :) left the rear on in the end, I would use a rust treatment spray and a wire brush before attempting to take them off.

Cheers, ali

With rusty bumper bolts I always do them up and try and shear them on purpose. Otherwise as soon as they do come slightly loose as you say they turn and dig in and damage the bumper.

The old bumpers were shagged and have been removed so I don't have to worry about damaging them. I made sure all the nuts and bolts came off without snapping....let's just hope I can find them all again.

Also...is it easier for me to attach the valances before or after?

After tbh, that way you wont scratch or damage it, a few clips will hold it on then use the bolts for the other attachment holes JD.

To shear the bolts would be a pain if you need to get them of for some reason, i had to rip my front bumper to bits cause the bolts had rusted together, i would use thread lock to help stop them coming loose tbh.

I would say its easier to fit the valances when the bumpers are off and put them on as 1 unit

Cheers. I'll give them a crack sometime this week. Still haven't looked at them properly...they could even be base model bumpers. Nevermind, they are going on anyway! :D
