How much camber do you get with the 309 wishbones?

Surely you would'nt want too much negative camber for the road!

Hi this was taken from an old topic and i got to the bit i wanted to know about and there was no more,

so can some answer this question ?

Yep a degree or maybe a touch under. Goes back to pretty much standard camber if you use 309 arms with Gti6 hubs.

Ok then if you had the parts bucket of all standard parts from the range of pugs what would anyone use to set a car up for road rallies, bare in mind upto 200 miles of rough lanes and 90 mile to the next petrol station .So reliability is the key. Oh and without to much hassle in the electrics department.....?

But what exactly is the topic here now?

It was negative camber, and now it seems to be about general reliability including electrics.

What was the question again? :(

Rich you f***ing mong  It's pretty simple ;)

He asked "do you know?"

Well yes, I do know.

And I know that you know too, Rich.

Now he knows that we know.

So we're all in the know now.

Topic answered ;)

I doubt the OP knows how to close a topic :P . I know. And I know that Rich knows. And I bet you know too, Baz. Does anyone else know?

Hmmm. A device that enables the measurement of negative tools, you say? I'm a tool, and you could say my input in to this topic has been erring on the side of negative. Would you like to measure me, George? ;)

All i know is its becoming a thread hijack lol

Ha Ha, i meant a measuring device to test each side of a cars front suspension negative camber, so i can get mine set the same on each side

when i fit my eccentric mounts after conversion has finished this side of this century lol.

If setting the camber correctly on both sides can be done this way of coarse.

But im guessing you already know this ;)

I suspect some form wheel alignment/tracking company would know about this sort of stuff.

And who knows - I don't and nor does GLP (but Baz, Dan & Miles might) - but this 'expert' place may know how to use their sparkling laser measuring equipment, and they can measure the OP's neg camber and the new laser equipment that Surgie buys whilst they're at it . Then at least Surgie will know too.

;)

fanbloomingtastic

Thanks a lot for that Geoff, appreciate it

That was the kind of thing i was looking for, a spirit level type of tool, instead of the tracking laser way.

You can always rely on this forum for answers and tips :)

Cheers

I got bang on 1.5 degrees (laser tracking said so) but that's with 1.6 hubs.

EDIT: oh yeah and that's with polybushes although i imagine that wouldn't make any difference. 30mm drop which would make a difference however.

So you're successfully running 309 wishbones with 1.6 hubs/shafts?
