Does The Gti6 Inlet Manifold Fit The 1.9 Mi16?

Recommended Posts

I want to make a throttle boddie set-up over winter as a stand alone project by cutting a standard manifold down and welding some flanges on.

I'm sure I've read before that the GTi6 manifold fits the Mi16 engine - is this true? (The engine it will be fitted to is a 1.9 Mi16)

If so, which manifold is a better starting point for this...Mi16 or GTi6?

Thanks for that - seems pretty straight forward ;)

After thinking over my options for what throttle boddies I have around, I'm thinking some direct to head style ones might be another option but....

Does anyone know the spacing (centre to centre) of the inlet ports on a 1.9Mi16?

Also, a long shot but....does anyone have the dimensions of the inlet port....if not I guess i'll need to get a gasket and measure it

That's brilliant thanks. Have emailed it to myself as I can't see the picture at work.

I had forgotten what shape the ports are. Was hoping they were oval as I have some nice aluminium transition pieces that go from round to oval. Time to think again.

Also the ports are bigger than I thought they would be, guess I need throttle boddies at least 40mm then?
