Recommended Posts

bigryrs

Hey folks bought my first 205 gti a couple of months back and already craving more power as ive had a few performance cars already (focus rs,mk1 golf vr6 turbo, saph cosworth,7 rs turbo,s)!!

So i went and bought the following parts

gti6 engine

loom off spiky

unlocked ecu

timing belt

uprated lower engine mount

So now comes the task of fitting it! ive already modified the exhaust manifold but what else will i require to carry out the conversion? does anyone have any good tips as im looking to be getting it fitted and running in a wkd.

Thanks in advance folks.

Hi dude. Good purchase(s) and welcome to the forum and the 205 scene....at last.

Please take this the right way, but go do some searching on here regarding all of the topics (cage / general conversion & PAS) you've just posted. Many of the GTI6 and track day conversion projects on here will contain most of the answers to the typical questions.

If you do that first, when you come up with any specific questions you've searched but can't find answers for, or you don't quite 'get it', then post again and we'll try and answer.

Most of what you're no doubt looking for is in here believe me.

As a starter, try Dan Taylor's project thread here: click.
