Turns out both my front wheel bearings need replacing and pug want £124 for 2!

Just looked around the net a bit, found that Eurocarparts have them for £31 each but they are SNR ones, never heard of them and thought I would post on here for some guidance. Are they OK?

Bearings from a main dealer are expensive but they are also the best. I replaced the n/s one in my car with one from a well-known independent supplier and it had just as much play as the old one. So I did the job again with a genuine Peugeot-supplied bearing and it's perfect. Maybe I was just unlucky but a friend has had similar problems with his 205, and again the genuine part sorted it out.

I've got GSF wheel bearings on my car, done 4k miles so far, no problem as yet.

Do you happen to know who the manufacturer was? Seems like its just a case of making sure it is from the same one?

I seem to remember that the pug ones are SKF...

SKF or SNR are fine, it's the pattern ones that are horrid and sound dry even when new, But as I always say it's hit and miss with GSF, the last 2 bearings one was OE and the other was pattern
