Best Way To Take Up Slack In Th L Bracket

Recommended Posts

chris-stdt

The gearchange on my car is crap ,i was going to buy a new set of rods but when i jacked up the car the long rod has been replaced and the others dont seem bad.

Most of the play seems to be coming from the L bracket ,i see bbm do a brass bush set to go with the rods they do but it costs £25 so i am looking for suggestions on how to achieve the same effect on the cheap ;)

Any suggestions welcome

Thanks

Chris

buy the bush set and also add more weld to the sleeve to prevent it coming loose in the L shaped plate.

or modify a 306/xsara/belingo/partner bush to fit.

Which part of the sleeve do you suggest adding weld to and why ?

Just buy the standard plastic bushes, these do not cost much.
