Cti 1.6 Cutting Out

Been getting seriously bad recently so thought I'd admit defeat & take it o a specialist.

 

Of course the evil b*stard wasn't going to have any of that....so it jinxed his CO meter into a fatal error & caused him to be unable to find his 205 GTi diagnostic tester. He did suspect the AFM.

 

So...borrowed an AFM....& the car ran fine. Just to be sure, tried AFM on lender's GTi....and that ran fine! Put my AFM back on my car...& it runs fine!

 

So there you are, all you need to do if yours is playing up, is put another AFM on, run it, & then yours will work fine.

 

Or the more cynical amongst you might just say it's just being the same old evil b*stard & as sure as eggs is eggs, it'll be misfiring again in a couple of weeks time.

Maybe the fact you had a s*it connection with your AFM to begin with, and by reconnecting it has improved the connections

No....not with this car! No fix is that simple or straightforward, have checked contacts are clean & good..many times.
