What Size Or Part Number Please?

Recommended Posts

dk73

Hi everyone,

My cars having a rebuilt head,

It would be nice to replace the manifold studs, Gsf dont do them.

So it may well after be coming from the main dealers.

Does anyone on here know of the part numbers that i need so i can order them.

I understand so Gsf told me that there are two size types?

Please tell me of what i need, i know i need all the studs and the nuts.

Regards dk73.

Have you heard of servicebox? This will allow you to find all this info yourself. Otherwise phone up your Peugeot dealer with your reg and VIN number and they can find the part numbers you need.

If you don't have Servicebox (or know how to use it), then you really should teach yourself how to use MIAMISTU's Online Parts Catalogue.

Here's how you would do it in this case, and it would mean you don't have to post to get simple answers as you could self help:

> Choose either of the 205 years (F or N) and select 'Engine'

> Then select 'Exhaust Manifold' (although you haven't actually said for sure this thread is about inlet or exhaust manifolds)

> Then in the lower portion select 'Injection XU'

> And then you can see the drawing with itemised parts to select the correct one from the list on the RHS based on your engine type, in your case XU9JA

Order those parts using the part nos. in the format NNNN NN.

I cannot stress how useful it is for you and the forum to learn how to use either or both of these tools.

:)

You could cut the head off M8 X 50 set screws.

If you use stainless steel though make sure you Loctite them in place in the head.

Also use Stainless steel nuts ideally with spring washers.

Thanks,

But its 16 gti shell with a 1.9 engine so vin plates and reg are no good to me.

Why would i want to do that?

Tom and I have given you the best answers.

I've even taken the time to give you guidance on how to get to the exact part numbers.

That is actually not true, as the manifold studs are the same either 1.6 or 1.9. Therefore your reg and VIN number will work just fine.

Not wanting to be rude, but it sounds like you can't be bothered to help yourself, so why should anyone do it for you?

Well the whole head is the same isn't it?

People need to learn to actually do some research on what they are doing. People here are great for helping, but they obviously get sick to death of answering the same questions over and over when people aren't helping themselves.

M8 scews are easier to get hold of.

But OE parts from a main stealer if I recall are about £3.12 for a full set, so I kind of agree with DK73 (as much as it pains me) on that one.

Cheers DrSarty,

I have sorted this now,

I had the problem of what year the engine came out of.

Mines a k-plate phase 2 1.6 gti shell and the 1.9 gti engine turns out to be older.

That was a problem for me as the earlier engine studs are different.

Ohh well thanks to everyone ive now sorted this and ive learnt from it too.
