would be interesting to see the wieght difference when you have welded a large sheet of metal over the roof , fillered and sprayed up compared to sunroof.

Should'nt need too much filler if any i dont think depending on how well the welds go. The weight of the roof skin vs the weight of the sunroof would be interesting though, lots to look into and find out about before making any firm plans to do it.

the metal sheet doesnt weigh much, and no more than a tub of filler is used, the glass in the sunroof alone weighs more than that, not including the weight of all the runners and the blind etc!
