Do you know if the fuel pump is running after it dies?

Does it suddenly cut or peter out and chug to a halt?

no it doesnt start straight up it needs leaving for 10-15 mins once its cooled down abit. The fuel pump works fine iv got it on its own switch and you can here it running when it cut out last time i took a lead off a plug and stuck a screw driver up it to get a spark but there was nothing (earthing of the engine) the coil is brand new and iv tried a nother coil on the car and it still cuts out the only thing i can think of is the crank sensor any thoughts?

I'd say a crank sensor is probably worth a try.

Not sure on your motor, but I think there is a little box that sits below the coil?

It boosts the signal to the coil, kinda like a Capacitor Discharge Module I guess (could be way off here, but someone will correct me I am sure)
