Fitting Dash

Recommended Posts

smokey

Hiya guys

I'm just fitting a phase 2 dash to my phase 1 CTI

It fits but i noticed a gap between the windscreen and the dash, i thought it would sit flush

Is it meant to or is there supposed to be a gap?

Thanks

I've noticed a gap on mine too - I assumed someone had the dash off and hasn't put it back on properley.

Well I've trying all day, even took the heater box out to make sure that wasn't blocking it. Still had the same gap. Every bolt was flush so i'm guessing thats how its supposed to be.

I've trimmed some black cloth and put that where the gap is. Then put the dash on.

Most of the sound/heat proofing has torn and no longer fits tight up to windscreen (as you can see in the picture)

I guess when everything was new there was a small gap but this would have showed the heat sound proofing that was in place and looked new.

Yeah same here

Due to my heat/sound proofing not fully meeting the window i've trimmed abit of black material and put that under the dash 1st.

Now when you look you cant even tell that the dash doesn't meet the window
