Needle Roller Bearing For Pinion

Can anyone point me in the direction of where to get one of these?

 

i went to pug today but none of the pictures on the parts system looked right!

 

It is the roller bearing at the business end of the pinion (BE3)

 

The one i thought it might be was £48 from pug but as it wasnt clear

I had to get one of these when I rebuilt my box.. They're specific to Peugeot and SKF (I think) don't have rights to release them to the public, so I'm afraid your only option is to bend over and get one from Peugeot.

havent checked with a BE gearbox, but with an MA box you can get at least 4 of the 6 main shaft + diff bearings elsewhere

The end one you can't get from anywhere. Its 59mm diameter or something like that. I called a few bearing suppliers and one of them eventually said that all bearings with a code starting in a certain letter (F I think..) are available to manufacturers only.

 

Saying that, that was a '6 box, I don't know weather a 5 speed box will be a more sensible size.

Right, been having a look on Servicebox and I think the one you want is the £48 one you mentioned. I was thinking you wanted the one for the end of the shaft (under the end cover by 5th) but I think I mis-read your post. What's the part number stamped into the side of your old bearing?

Assuming the business end you mean is by first gear then the needle roller bearing that used to be available from PTS (part # 7112) was only £6 in the last PTS catalogue I have (dec 2001) but it also says for use with Peugeot sport modified pinions.

Or do you mean the flat roller bearing on the Pinion end of the shaft?

I think that's what he means.. The one by the pinion on the output shaft.

Might even have one at the workshop, Easy to get thou as mine came from pug and was cheap

it is on a pts cwp setup, ill get a pic to confirm the one i mean i think!

Oh those, On first gear instead of the plain bush, You can get those from any bearing supplier, Just need to cut it to fit
