Non Functioning Rear Wiper An Mot Fail?

Got to MOT my A6 tomorrow and the rear wiper doesn't work (common fault). Is this an MOT fail, I think if it is then removing the arm is the way around it.

Any ideas?

I don't even think it's a tested item, certainly i've got Mot's previously with non-working ones anyway!

My girlfriends hasnt worked for years and its never been a problem. I dont think its on the test.

Think I've been picked up on the blade being split before, but otherwise no not "essential"

Usual rule of thumb with stuff like that is, if it is present it should work, so if in any doubt, remove the arm

Rear wiper isnt part of the test, I work as MOT tester part time hope this helps
