Tips For Removing Valves From Alloy Wheels

Recommended Posts

Atari Boy

As above really, I have a set of alloys about to go for powder coating.

I have not been too rough with the old valves so far as I have a habit of breaking the wrong bit but what is the best way of removing them?

Many thanks

Jonny

Cut them off with a stanley knife, from inside the wheel.

From watching tyre fitters, you just pull the f***ers out with some mole grips. Don't be afraid to be brutal.

cut thems the best way, you could mark the alloys pulling them as you may have to lever against the rim to pull them out ;)
