Recommended Posts

kyepan

Morning chaps and chapesses.

its friday... which means fannying around with the car on sat..

just for giggles, does anyone know the ID and OD of the fuel hose that comes from the fuel pump to the hard hoses under the car... either that or a rough cost from peugeot.

Cheers for now

J

If its the same as 309 Gti,which it prob is,its 7mm ID :D

OD doesn't matter I'm pretty sure :P

Goin by what I was told by jord294 you can only get 7mm from Pug dealer,if you go to Motor factors they only sell either 6mm or 8mm ID :D

Go to Pug dealer and they have it on a roll ;)

I'm sure in typical peugeot fashion that the pipe is larger at the pump end than the metal pipe end, and I think the numbers off servicebox confirm it.

The I/D of the metal hose is 8mm. Don't buy it from Peugeot, as its chaper to buy it in stainless Steel.

You'll have to bend it yourself though, I think you have to anyway even if you bought it from Peugeot.

Edit :- f you want to check the I/d of something use a machine screw.

M4 (7mm hex head)

M5 (8mm hex head)

M6 (10mm hex head)

M7 (11mm hex head)

M8 (13mm hex head)

M10 (16 or 17mm hex head)

M12 (19mm hex head)

Where would you recommend buying the metal hose in stainless then? Is it easy to get hold of? Yet another job that needs doing lol

Thanks

Craig

Just to thread jack, the fuel supply pipe has a union on it and the flixi to th efilter has a threaded end. Mines splitting and I've had to chop the threaded end off and circlip it to the pipe. It doesn't go on very well but the peugeot part for the flexi and union is now showing NFP. any clues as to where to get one from??

Oh right :)

The stuff I had off jord294 came from Pug and was 7mm both ends, fitted on metal pipes and pump easy enough :D

Not sure, there's a place called Thorite that sells it near me! I don't think its a chain though, It's should be pretty easy to get hold of though.

A plumbbase might have it, if not advise you where to buy some

Edit. looks like it is a chain.

Thorite

link to steel tube

3 meter for £33.36! I thought it was cheaper. but at least it should last longer than the stuff from Peugeot.

You can get copper for £23 per 3 Meter.

They do nickle coated mild steel bundy tube too, I can't find it though.
