What Thread Is The Hole In The End Of A Torsion Bar?

Need to retap one on my car. Can anyone tell me the thread as I need to get a tap off ebay.

It's an M8 thread

any idea on the thread? 1.0 1.5 etc? Just want to make sure I get the right one. I think its the "standard" M8 thread as some threaded bar I had lying around fitted ok (to make a new end bolt).

 

1.25 seems to be the most common available.

It is 1.25, standard M8

managed to find my m8 tap anf guess what it was 1.25 so all sorted
