1.6 Gti Master Cylinder.

Evening, I have lost my haynes manual but im not sure if what im looking for will be in it either. I had my master cylinder down to get cleaned on my 1.6 gti that has standard brakes, and it has the 3 outlets one to rear and 2 to the front. There is one seal that im not so sure on which way it should be. Maybe some else has had it stripped down before and put it in the wrong way, I don't know? In the pictures below the seal in question is the 2nd in from the left.

 

In the second picture, the face of the seal that you see upright, is what the double spring part sits against. Is that correct or does it need to be the other way round?
