Alarm Or Remote Central Locking Recommendation.

Currently I've got an alarm fitted to the car, it's a crappy Shark job I got from Maplins a few years ago. I fitted mainly for remote central locking rather than actually an alarm. I don't think alarms are much use, they just go off when you do need them, and get ignored anyway. But I do need remote central locking as my driver's door is de-locked.

 

The reason I need to change is that the battery went in the key-fob and when I replaced it, the LED stays on all the time, therefore will flatten the battery in no time. I can't see where to get replacements.

 

So is there any recommendations of a cheap alarm, or just a remote central locking system?

 

All I need for the central locking is on/off state signal, as I've already got a central locking motor contol box (designed by my good self!).

Toad Ai606 is a good one. £100 if you can fit it yourself and can be had off ebay.

 

loads of features and not heard of anyone having any problems with them unlike some of the cliffords
