Removing Light Surface Brown Stuff From Discs

Recommended Posts

I have some virtually new discs but they have been sitting round so have a light covering of surface brown stuff. Will brake cleaner remove this or is there something more suitable?

Brake cleaner to remove any oil/grease, then just give the middle pedal some grief and the pads will soon clean them up.

Light going over with emery, bit of brake cleaner and a little bit of left foot braking on an empty road will soon sort it out.

Don't worry about emery paper or anything, just do what Tom said. They'll be clean after you brake hard a couple of times. :)
