Gti6 Pistons, Rfv Head On Rgx Bottom

Recommended Posts

Guest fizban

Hello all,

I own a 306 XSI 16V (RFV engine). Got the GTI 6 manifolds on and love the power.

I am working on a turbo project on this engine (got DP-engineering turbo manifold kit and VEMS PnP along with GT28RS).

I have several questions:

1. I know that RFVs dont have oil jets in the block. Does the RGX (XU10J2TE) have them? Its very hard/not possible to get a hold on a GTI6 block (RFS) in my country.

2. If get a bottom of a RGX and but my 10v head on it, will the RFV pistons+rods fit the crank of the RGX or should i use my RFV crank.

3. I have an option to buy low comp GTI6 pistons and rods (Arias and Crower). can i use them on my RFV head and RGX bottom?

Cheers
