Pressing Out The Trailing Arm Shafts

Recommended Posts

which way? Do they come out to the outside of the car, if that makes sense? Or will they go either way? I know the PTS buikld manual mentions about welding them in if they work loose.

Press them out, rather than through the arm (if that makes sense)

To press them out, press from the hub side, pressing the shaft towards what would be the beamtube.

To press them in, press from what would be the beamtube side, towards the hub side of the arm.

When removing a trailing arm from a siezed beam, the shaft can remain in the tube if it's really bad.

thanks guys for thw quick replies. They're ok Jim, they're out already. There is the smallest bearing marks on the one side so they just need turning 180deg
