Yes my fan isn't kicking in on my 205 -it went intermittant just before it was garaged and I'd quite like it to work when it comes out of the garage, are there any common faults which cause this?

Also, MY FAN DOESNT KICK IN! on my bmw 316 E36 runabout, this just happenned a couple of days back and I dont want to risk blowing a gasket/pipe etc -are there any common faults which can cause this / fixes you know of?

have you tried bridging the connections that plug on to the fan switch? if this makes the fan work then id say that the fan switch is your problem

Could well just be corroded connectors on/to the fan switch (mounted on radiator). Cleaning mine up got the fan working fine again on mine.

Hmmmn, had a look around the beemers fan and at first glance it doesnt appear to be powered, only running from the crankshaft on a free-bearing. I could be incorrect about that though..

I DO need to know how to correctly bleed the coolant system on it though having changed a burst water pipe yesterday, there appears to be an air lock in the system causing overheating now. Could someone point me in the right direction under the bm's hood?

All done.

(apparently there is a particular way to bleed the bm -which I found upon the net.)
