Another Non Starter

Hi,

Another non starter query I'm afraid on my j plate 1.6,car was fine until we did a clutch change in it(in the rain which may help)

basically it turns over fine,it has over a 1/4 tank of fuel,i have checked the pump which is running and delivering fuel,

it sorts of runs for about 2-3 seconds every 10 times you try to start it,as soon as you give it any gas it dies,

I can get it to run but only by unplugging the AFM,but it runs rough (up to 3.5k revs then fine after)but blows out clouds of

blue/grey smoke.

 

any other ideas cos i feel like ramming it into a wall, FPOS

make sure the terminals inside the afm plug are still in position

 

they do have a tendancy to push out when the plug is plugged in

Sounds like you have the plugs on the wrong way round on your blue ECU temp sensor?

When i did my clutch change, mine wouldnt start after and it turned out the plug in the wire from dizzy to coil had come unplugged, dont know if that helps but its very easy to disturb plugs when you wrestling with a gearbox

broken wire no2 on the AFM plug,f***ing french piece of s**t
